Makes an excellent choice for a foundation planting or garden accent or bonsai. Does not fare well in hot, harsh climates. Plant in full sun in a well-drained soil. 

To improve looks and airflow, these plants would benefit from periodic 'combing' (use your fingers) to remove dead material.
