A visually appealing plant with its bright yellow-green foliage, a standout in any landscape. This cultivar can experience sunburn if planted in the full sun. European beech thrives in a rich, moist, well-drained soil, in full sun or partial shade. Very little pruning is necessary to maintain its shape.

Additional Notes about Zlatia Beech:


 'Zlatia' was found in a wood near Vranja, Serbia, in 1890 and introduced by Späth a year later. 'Zlatia' is Serbian for gold.
