Growing and Maintenance Tips:

The Aoi cultivar is the bluest of all the Japanese white pines. The narrow pyramidal form makes the Aoi an optimal year-round specimen pine for smaller areas.

It is best grown in a full sun exposure, however, it tolerates moderate sunlight in a medium to moist, well-drained soil.

This pine is naturally a narrow grower, however, pinching the candles mid-spring will encourage an even more compact form.
