  • AKA Aster azureus or Symphyotrichum oolentangiense
  • Flowers are made up of petals in varying shades of blue surrounding a yellow eye
  • Naturally found in Southern Ontario in dry meadows, edges and open woods
  • Bloom Time: Summer to fall

Growing and Maintenance Tips:


Plant in average, dry to moist, well-drained soil in full sun. Plant height can vary depending on how rich the soil is and how much moisture is provided. Pinch back 1/3 of the foliage twice before early summer, to maintain shape and foliage vigour.
